David, prophet and second king of Israel (1)

Greetings, friend!

Samuel was told to anoint one of the sons of Jesse of Bethlehem as king. As cover for the anointment he was told to go and do a special offering and invite Jesse's whole family to it.

When the time came to anoint the chosen son of Jesse, his sons were paraded in front of Samuel, but none was selected. On inquiry if there were ANOTHER son, he was told the youngest are with the sheep. Someone was send for him to attend the offering service. When he entered, Samuel was told to anoint him.

After this, Saul was tormented by an evil spirit and as treatment he was told to listen to harp music.  They found that David had a fantastic talent to play the harp and he was appointed as soother to Saul.

David slayed Goliath, a giant from the Philistine army, but this just stirred jealousy up in Saul and Saul became his enemy. David's son, Jonathan, warned David that Saul wanted to kill him. David fled to Samuel in Ramah and a number of other places. More than once David even could have killed Saul in his sleep, but didn't.

Eventually Saul consulted a witch, but did not get a good tiding from her. And shortly afterwards Samuel told him he shouldn't have sinned by doing that.

Shortly after this, Saul killed himself after his three sons were killed by the Philistines.

Shortly after this David became the king officially, but first a few things happened. More about that tomorrow.

TODAY'S QUESTIONS:
Are you doing what the Creator wants you to do? Or are you deviating from His orders, even if it just slightly?

Are you involved in witchcraft or consulted a witch in your life? This is a grave sin and only the Creator can remove the curse of witchcraft from your life! You need to get to either a mosque or a Pentecostal church as soon as possible and go to the leader. This curse can kill you if you do not act!
