Solomon, prophet and third king of Israel (2)

Solomon, prophet and third king of Israel (2)

Greetings, friend!

Solomon built the temple as replacement for the tent city around the tented tabernacle.

Solomon contracted Hiram, the king of Tyre, to provide pre-cut cedar and pine wood for the temple. He also contracted stone cutters and carriers from the Israelites.

He started in his fourth year of reign by laying the first foundation stone and finished it in his eleventh year of reign. He then furnished the temple with brand new bronze and silver equipment. He also built his palace after that.

He prepared a festival like no other with the help of the priests and tribe leaders to bring the ark of covenant from the tabernacle into the temple. After the priests left the Most Holy chamber, the presence of the Creator filled it as acceptance and blessing. Solomon then prayed and bless the temple and the nation. The priests then further dedicate the temple towards worship of the One and Only Creator God.

The Creator came for a second time to Solomon in a vision dream and gave him a conditional blessing: serve me and I would bless you and the nation, fall away from the straight path and it would yield repercussions.

He had a visit from the Queen of Sheba. Details of her visit are detailed in the Torah, Bible and especially the Quran.

He had peace from his enemies as long as he lived. You can read more about Solomon and his reign in the book of 1 Kings in the Torah and Bible.

He had a rebellion near the end of his life and that resulted in a split kingdom after his death. More about that tomorrow.

TODAY'S QUESTIONS:
Are you doing what the Creator wants you to do? Or are you deviating from His orders, even if it just slightly?

Forgiveness and a new life is waiting for you!

You would know what to do... GO AND DO IT NOW!
